SAPPS is my go-to neighborhood spot in LIC whenever I’m craving sushi. Their sushi sashimi combo entree is my absolute favorite and it never disappoints. The fish is always fresh and beautifully presented. If you’re lucky, you might even get fatty tuna in both the sushi and sashimi selection, which is such a treat.

Solid spot with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of Japanese food options other than sushi! They also have a creative cocktail list. My favorite bites were the yakitori, particularly the chicken skin—so crunchy and flavorful. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was also really good. Easy walk from Queensboro/ Queens Plaza subway stops.

While the food and the tequila selection are top notch here the part I enjoyed far and away was the service. Can't say enough nice compliments about both the assistance and the experience from the bar staff. Good experienced individuals that know how to run a bar.
